SCOTT DOONICAN
Doors 7pm
Scott Doonican brings his 2025 ONE MAN SHOW Tour back to Katie Fitzgerald's.
Expect silliness, shenanigans, singalongs and stories a-plenty.
As the charismatic frontman of the UK's hardest-working comedy band, 'The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican', Scott Doonican is a debonair and theatrical performer with superb hair and more style than you could shake a Milan catwalk at. As a solo performer, Scott's 'One Man Show' shows are every bit as funny, dynamic and engaging as those with his band, and he is equally at ease in front of large festival crowds, as he would be in a theatre or down the pub. This is where Scott Doonican the story-teller, entertainer and consummate showman, gets the opportunity to take his band's extensive back-catalogue of comic-songs and perform them, stripped-back, on just his battered 'Workhorse' acoustic guitar or his little ukulele in his hand. Following, in the footsteps of his comedy-folk heroes (Mike Harding, Jasper Carrott, Billy Connolly, Richard Digance, Jake Thackeray et al), here, the Doonicans' side-splitting song-smithery, comes to the fore, often accompanied by with an abundance of cracking yarns, giving a charming insight to the inspiration behind them. He's on a mission to bring comedy-folk back to the masses for the 21st Century.

JOHN OTWAY
Songs of Anger and Redemption are delighted to welcome OTWAY back to Katie Fitzgerald's in Stourbridge, West Midlands on Saturday 9th March 2024.
Just months after performing his 5,000th gig to an adoring Shepherd’s Bush Empire crowd, unique singer songwriter John Otway has been awarded an Honorary PhD in Music by Oxford Brookes University.
Otway, best known to many for his first hit ‘Cor Baby That’s Really Free’ said ‘I’m really thrilled to be awarded this totally unexpected honour, especially as I failed all my A levels as I decided to concentrate on preparing for my burgeoning career as a rock star. To get this from Oxford Brookes 50 years later shows I did the right thing. And I did have some further education in Oxford in the 1970s - my learning was at a pub in St Clements, The Oranges and Lemons performing my embryonic act there over 50 times in 12 months. In that short time I went from playing to 20 people in the pub to having a hit record. I haven’t done a sensible days work since! Now this doctorate puts me on the same level as other celebrity Doctors such as Brian Cox, Angela Merkel, Brian May, Kermit the Frog and Geri Halliwell.’ see more......

EDLARS +
The peoples Temple
Edlars are a lively four-piece indie band from Stourbridge, formed of close friends, with a family link. Created in 2017 under the name Two Minutes Late, while living together, childhood friends Haden Tye (lead vocals and rhythym guitar) and Luke Pitts (bass) got to work on creating a band. After a few formations, the addition of Luke’s now brother-in-law Jon Pickett (lead guitar) and Tom Minton (drummer and backing vocals) completed the line-up. The band have a catologue of original tunes and have so far released two songs, with their debut single, Corduroy Shirt, a reflection of the fast-paced, high-energy sound the band have crafted over a number of years.
